Easy Readers

If you're looking for good books for children who are beginning to read, then you might be interested in this bibliography which was recently posted on the EMC website - http://www.uwosh.edu/library/emc/Bibliographies/easyreaders.pdf

Easy readers typically use vocabulary that is selectively chosen. They have large font and pictures. I think of "easy readers" as bridges between picture books and chapter books. They are often appropriate for children in kindergarten through grade 2 (and, at times, into grade 3).
